Dr. Schuurmans works in the Digital Water business unit and is leading the development of several digital services. She has more than 18 years world-wide experience in water related projects like impact assessments, early warning systems and disaster prevention at different scales. She is able to act intermittently in a multi stakeholder setting with different interests. Her goal is to work on solutions which enable society
and the private sector to deal more effectively with changing climate and extreme weather events. Smart information solutions play an important role is this as better information leads to better decisions.
Dr. Schuurmans holds an M.Sc. in Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management from Wageningen University and a PhD in Hydrometeorology from Utrecht University.
